More information on classic video games

Open Question: Building new Computer. Low budget. Any tips?

I want to build a 64bit machine for myself. I have alot of parts already so all i will be purchasing is:

1) Video Card
2) Motherboard and processor (maybe even dual processors)
3) 4GB+ memory

I use Ubuntu and wont be playing any high end games but i would like a decent video card for beryl. My budget is about $300 but its flexible. Any suggestions would be most apreciated.
